Crimson Education, the global leader in university admissions consulting, has announced a ground-breaking partnership with UAE-based GEMS Education.
Under the My Path To Uni program, Crimson Education’s world-class team of mentors, university admissions experts and academic tutors will collaborate with students at 54 GEMS schools in the UAE, Egypt and Qatar.
Specialising in personalised mentorship and university admissions success, the Crimson team will support students seeking places at the world’s elite higher education institutions, such as Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, MIT, Stanford and more.
Jamie Beaton, Crimson Education CEO and Co-founder, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with the largest K-12 private education provider in the world. GEMS and Crimson share an aligned vision in supporting students to reach the world’s elite universities. This partnership will have a huge impact on students in the Middle East seeking the best higher education opportunities the world has to offer.”
The program enables GEMS students to first engage with Crimson’s Academic Advisors for a comprehensive academic evaluation. A Crimson strategist then develops a personalised university roadmap. This determines the student’s best-fit universities, plans their test strategy, and enhances their candidacy by differentiating themselves through extracurricular and leadership activities.
Crimson employs more than 250 full-time staff as well as 2,400 mentors and consultants who are currently based at, or are graduates from top-ranked universities. Many team members used to serve as interviewers or admissions officers at these leading institutions. Crimson students are currently up to four times more likely to gain admission to Ivy League and Oxbridge universities.
Since its 2013 founding in New Zealand, Crimson has built upon its mission to level the playing field when it comes to top university applications. In the last few years, it has helped its students secure 220+ offers to the Ivy League, 95 to Oxbridge, 1,100 to the US top 50 and 450 to the UK top ten, as well as US$65M in financial aid and scholarships.
Mr Beaton said: “It’s a huge honour to be announcing our partnership in the UAE – a country with top class educational institutions and incredible young talent of multiple nationalities and backgrounds . Our mission is to use our technology-centric model to help these young adults make the most of their abilities and secure a place at the university they deserve.”
