Empowering youth with opportunities to explore, learn, and thrive is crucial for shaping the future. Experiential learning is the stepping stone to achieving this, especially with exciting opportunities to explore the corporate world. Unsurprisingly, a study conducted by Bayt.com, which surveyed over 2,400 respondents across the MENA region, showed that 78% of companies expressed interest in hiring interns in 2023.
Aligned with that demand, The RM Events has created and curated an innovative fair designed to provide teenagers aged 15-18 a taste of the corporate world, Teen Launchpad – Your Internship Fair. UniHawk, a leading profile building and University Admissions Consulting firm is all set to support this first-of-its-kind event, taking place on April 27th from 9 am to 4 pm at GEMS Wellington Academy, DSO. The Internship Fair is curated to offer teens an opportunity where they can get real-life experiences. Over 30 companies have confirmed participation providing internships and 100 available vacancies for students to choose from.
This event connects motivated and talented high school students and established organizations, SMEs, startups, and entrepreneurs. It aims to match potential candidates with intern roles comprising short-term projects and assignments requiring additional support. Inspired by government initiatives facilitating internships, this fair facilitates the bridging of the gap between driven teens and industry professionals across various sectors, providing invaluable real-world exposure.
The hiring entities will have the opportunity to meet and interview pre-registered teens possessing relevant skill sets. Furthermore, they can engage with industry experts for insights, attend skill-building workshops, and learn about the latest industry trends through expert talks.
Consultations with career counselors from UniHawk will be available to assist teens in navigating their career paths. The attending students also stand a chance to secure scholarships from the participating Universities present providing internships
With the arrival of summer, Learning Lab- a UniHawk initiative will introduce several summer activities and programs for teens to not only build their profile for a successful college application but also to gain exposure to diverse experiences.
