In a continuous effort to provide individuals with a journey of Continued Professional Development, Middlesex University Dubai presents its MBA Programmes. With the intake now open for January 2019, students can choose between nine specialist MBA pathways comprising Finance, Marketing, Business Excellence, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics, Islamic Economy, or elect for an MBA (General).
The Middlesex MBA covers all key aspects of management and leadership competencies, offering a 360-degee approach to learning. To further aid development, the programme includes four Applied Learning Experiences and four Executive Skills Development sessions which provide students with a broad range of executive managerial skills and enhances professional competence by engaging students in practice, encouraging them to apply what they have learned so far to real-world scenarios.
MBA students are able to take advantage of the University’s innovative teaching and learning strategies, from participating in a live industrial consultancy project, to having the option to complete an entrepreneurship project through the completion of a comprehensive business plan.
“Our MBA is designed to expose students to the latest thinking and developments across a variety of business sectors and within an international context. We take a dual approach to both theory and its application in practice, which enables our students to excel in their respective careers. This is empowered through industry collaborations, events and special training sessions – all of which are paramount to the success of our students”, said Dr Cedwyn Fernandes, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Director of Middlesex University Dubai.
Providing an internationally recognised UK Degree completed here in the heart of Dubai, the Middlesex MBA helps students to grow in confidence and become empowered to critically evaluate and make key decisions in their functional areas of expertise. An extensive curriculum and international field trips to destinations that include Paris, Milan and Shanghai provides students with the opportunity to tackle international business challenges and think on a global scale.
The MBA has six taught modules followed by a project. Students have the chance to engage with the key principles of business, including finance, economics, strategy, marketing, operations and leadership, as well as gaining insight into the context in which managers operate. Students can expect to engage in activities including workshops, guest lectures and a field trip, all of which is part of skill development in negotiation, entrepreneurialism, team building and leadership. The programme can be studied on a full-time or part-time basis, with classes taking place in the evening and during the working week, allowing students to balance their careers with their studies.
