Students at Nord Anglia International School Dubai (NAS Dubai) part of the global Nord Anglia Education family of schools, are celebrating today after receiving their long-awaited IGCS results earlier this week. Our students’ incredible achievements have created an amazing atmosphere all across our school as we celebrate their successes.
Matthew Farthing Principal at NAS Dubai comments, “Following on from our distinguished IB results, our Year 11 students have shown what they can do at IGCSE. With an overall pass rate of 98% and 66% gaining A* and A with seven, eight and nine points, we are confident that this is a class to watch out for. Mixing talent and hard work in roughly equal parts throughout, this is very well done indeed.”
Liam Cullinan Head of Secondary comments “I am delighted with the achievements of the students this year with 75% of our students performing above their CAT scores. A key area to celebrate is our continuous improvement at the top end with 41% of grades at 9 or 8. I am very proud of the students and I would like to thank them as well as staff and parents for their continued support. This is a true reflection of the amazing place that NAS Dubai is and its dedication to everyone succeeding.”
Andrew Fitzmaurice, Chief Executive Officer of Nord Anglia Education, comments, “These outstanding results demonstrate NAE’s commitment to providing transformational learning opportunities for every child. Our students achieve more than ever thought possible. At NAE we aim to help students reach their full potential and equip them with the skills and mind-set to thrive in a changing world. Congratulations are due not only to our students, but also to our dedicated, world-leading teaching staff who have helped contribute to these tremendous results.”
NAS Dubai also recently celebrated outstanding results achieved by students in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for the 2018/19 academic school year. With a top score of 43, NAS Dubai accomplished a 100% pass rate in its first ever IB results along with 25% of students achieving grades of 40 points and above and 65% attaining more than 35 points. NAS Dubai continually encourages its students to perform to the best of their abilities, and this year, students at the school were able to achieve an average score of 36.5, which is 22% higher than the 2018 IB global average of 30, setting NAS Dubai apart from other IB schools around the world.
Andy Puttock, Group Education Director, Nord Anglia Education commented, “Year after year, I am so proud of our Nord Anglia students who — through their dedication — achieve results that exceed global averages for the IB Diploma.”
“This year’s results powerfully show how our students benefit from world-leading teachers who go beyond traditional education to inspire them toward success,” he said. “I’m proud of what our IB-offering schools have achieved this academic year and wish our graduating seniors a fantastic summer as they begin preparing for life after leaving their Nord Anglia school.”
