Beginning the week of May 9th, Bright Learners Private School and HH Sheikha Salama Bint Hazza Al Nayhan will be partnered in a week-long event where students and staff will have a chance to dive into the Sheikha’s literature. Following the official release of Sheikha Al Nahyan’s fifth book, The Horse, the Saluki, and the Falcon, Bright Learners will explore the themes of her latest piece in addition to The Invisible Orphans and Umm al Nar.
In this unique partnership between Sheikha Al Nayhan and Bright Learners Private School, the school will host it’s first anual Author Spotlight. Throughout the week students will take part in integrated learning projects that incorporate the literary works of Sheikha Al Nayhan while infusing art, literary and writing projects in both English and Arabic. This will allow classes to fully immerse themselves in the themes and morals of each story in an engaging, fun and educational manner. From KG 2 to Grade 4, students will focus on the varied themes such as making good choices, learning right from wrong, and how to be a global citizen. Aligned with the holy month of Ramadan, Sheikha Al Nahyan’s literature also serves to teach Bright Learners’ students about Emirati culture and the style of writing by an Emirati author. Bright Learners School consistently looks for new ways to engage its students through innovative teaching styles, and find new ways to teach them how to be curious, life-long learners.
