The Study Abroad Virtual Expo was attended by more than 2,200students seeking advice about international education opportunities, while over 5,000 had registered for more information. During the virtual expo students were able to virtually explore campuses, speak to leading universities from across the globe, and interact with governing bodies such as Austrade and Enterprise Ireland.
Rashi Bhattacharya, UAE Country Director of IDP Education, said the team were delighted they could continue to support prospective international students during this time.
“This year, to help protect the wellbeing of our customers, we adapted our annual Study Abroad Expo to be held virtually. The event had a record-breaking turn out and students and parents were able to speak to universities via live chats and video calls to discuss their prospects about studying abroad.” Ms Bhattacharya said..
“Deciding to study overseas is a multi-year decision as it can provide the launchpad for a student to achieve their lifelong learning and career aspirations,” she said.
“It is critical students receive advice they can trust when making these decisions, hence we were delighted we could deliver our popular event, even if it was in a revised online format.”
The IDP Study Aboard Expo, which is hosted twice a year, is designed to help students make a better decision when pursuing higher education abroad. This was achieved through destination seminars, workshops and master classes – conducted during exhibitions in both the cities and now virtually.
