One of Dubai’s leading community schools, Ranches Primary School (RPS) has announced a Term 3 fee reduction of 20 percent for all Foundation Stage (FS1 and FS2) and 15 percent for all Key Stage (Year 1-6) students to help parents cope with the economic hardship caused by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Ranches Primary School is committed to supporting its parents by putting money back into their pockets, both immediately and moving into the next academic year. Half of the discount on Term 3 fees will be returned immediately, by way of an online bank transfer and the second half will be credited against Term 1 fees for the next academic year, 2020-2021.
Founded upon the ethos that its primary responsibility is to serve the community; Ranches Primary School offers world class British education for students from Nursery to Year 6 and was rated “Very Good” in its most recent KHDA inspection. With most of its diverse student body drawn from a catchment area comprising the nearby residential communities of Arabian Ranches, Sustainable City, Motorcity, Al Barsha South, Damac Hills and Mudon, the school is deeply invested in the well-being of its students and families.
For families that still have difficulty in meeting outstanding payments for this Academic Year, even after the discount, Ranches Primary School will be offering parents interest-free payment plans.
Julian Pederick, a 31-year veteran of the education industry and Principal, Ranches Primary School commented: “As a community school, we empathise with how this pandemic has affected all of our families at RPS.
“Our exceptional academic team will continue to support parents and pupils by listening to their feedback and drawing upon their extensive experience to further enhance the existing and effective Distance Learning programme, for as long as is necessary. We are immensely proud of the manner in which the RPS community have pulled together to make this work in such a short time.”
The economic repercussions of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis are expected to continue beyond September 2020, the start of the next academic year. Ranches Primary School is currently considering additional measures to support its families for Academic Year 2020-2021.
Among these measures, the school is considering lower fees for all year levels for next year. It is also considering flexible monthly payment plans as well as waiving admission, registration, and testing fees for Term 1 for new admissions.
The Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team continues to remain committed to enhancing all areas of facilities, talent and resources for achieving outstanding student outcomes.
Ranches Primary School parents reacted to the news of the fee reduction with happiness and relief. Parents expressed their gratitude to RPS staff and teachers for their support and dedication to online learning with emails and comments on social media. A Year 4 parent said: “The ethos of the school really came through in this announcement and it is a community that our family is proud to be part of.” Another Year 3 parent commented: “Thank you to Ranches Primary school for supporting all families in this difficult time. This is another reason why I love this school for my children.”
