The University of Birmingham Dubai is offering free of charge impartial maths tuition sessions to support pupils that may have experienced disruption throughout the last year of the pandemic.
The online support is aimed at Year 12 and 13 Mathematics students who are keen to go to continue with higher education in September, to further their understanding of maths for university.
The tuition is free of charge for students, and can be accessed alone as private support, via schools as a group activity, and followed up by live online tutorials.
The course covers topics to the level of a typical Year 1 student at the University of Birmingham and is designed to help the transition from school to university.
“We understand how challenging the last year will have been for year 12 and year 13 students, so we wanted to offer free of charge, impartialsupport to maths students in the region. This online tuition aims to further the student’s understanding of maths for university, not just for the University of Birmingham Dubai” commented Dr Mohamad Zalzale, Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, University of Birmingham Dubai. “We would recommend a 1-2-1 consultation with one of our experts to understand their offer, the course the student would like to study in September, and how to get the best from the sessions” he added.
