Having collaborations with over 300 reputed companies comprising of Fortune 500 firms, MNCs, Start-ups and others, the top organizations extending placement offers to the students this year includeTanfeeth – An Emirates NBD group company, Landmark Group, Aster Group, Aujan Coca Cola, Schindler Middle East, NeoBank – An ADQ Company, AAF International, Lamprell PLC, Omniclouds, Hira Industries, Petrochem,etc.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise, ESRI Middle East, PWC, Emirates, Sobha Group, Help AG, EFS Facilities, Dabur Middle East, Unilever, IBM, Reckitt Benckiser, Siemens, Emerson and Schneider Electric are also among the prominent companies who have hired from the institute in the past.
Furthermore, in contrast to the previous years, one-fourth of the hiring was done by e-commerce companies such as Talabat, Zomato, Careem, Dubbizle, Noon.Com, Opontia, and Amazon Middle East to name a few. These companies are mostly employing to fill the positions of Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Product Analysts, Software Developers, Supply Chain and Procurement Managers, and Operations.
Commenting on the recruitments, Prof.SrinivasanMadapusi, Director, BITS Pilani Dubai Campus said, “The higher intake from e-commerce firms can be attributed to the change in market dynamics due to the pandemic,which has led to a surge in online retail and accelerated digital transformation. E-commerce’s share of global retail trade has gone up from 14% in 2019 to 17% in 2020, thus creating more employment opportunities in this sector.
Through our recruitment drive we have observed that these businesses are not only amongst the current biggest employers, but their salary packages are also 30% more than those offered by other industry sectors.”
