Al Ghurair Investment And Al Ghurair University Collaborate To Launch Internship Programme To Enrich The Youth Talent In The UAE

Al Ghurair Investment(AGI), one of the largest diversified family business groups in the Middle East, today announced its collaboration with Al Ghurair University (AGU) to offer internship programmes to students, providing them the opportunity to attain extensive on-job training to complement their educational and developmental journeys. The internship programme has been designed with the implicit goal to foster young talent in the region, supporting with the cultivation of a deeper, and more diversified, talent pool.

Reflecting AGI’s commitment to building the next generation of leaders, the programme provides the tools necessary for talented youth to succeed in the future world of work. The two-month programme offers AGU students the opportunity to up-skill through structured vocational training in a specific business sector of interest to them. Sectors in which such opportunities are available include construction, retail, foods, printing, properties and automotive services.

Due to the nature of AGI’s highly dynamic business, the programme is structured as a stepping-stone to students’ careers, providing them with practical experience in a corporate environment. The internships granted are aligned to the students’ specific area of study in order to complement their learning journey at AGU. The students will benefit from around 150-200 hours of experience gained during the programme. Candidates who excel during the internship programme may be selected for full-time employment at AGI, once graduated.
