To encourage a positive and proactive female influence amongst the community, Brighton College Dubai is launching InfluenceHer,a motivational talk series that will highlight and explore a range of important and interesting topics from a host of inspirational female speakers.
Launching on this year’s International Women’s Day, the first event of the series will focus on the topic of wellbeing and will feature talks from the UAE’s Super Nanny, Principal Lisa, as well as Holistic Health Coach, Sarah Boutros.
Dr Lene Rensburg, Head Counsellor at Brighton College Dubai commented:“We wanted to repurpose the term influencer, which can have negative connotations, and give a spotlight to women who are projecting a positive message and inspiring young people to be the best version of themselves. We hope this event series will inspire a change in mindset and action as well as championing positive values such as determination, kindness and tolerance. This was the idea behind the Influence Her event, and we are so excited to be kicking off the series, fittingly, on International Women’s Day.”
An educator extraordinaire, Principal Lisa helps thousands of her global Instagram followers to deal with everyday parenting struggles and she will be sharing her thoughts on mindset, perseverance, and always having hope at the event. Joining Lisa centre stage is Holistic Health Coach, Sarah Boutros, who is a champion of ‘Intuitive Eating’ as an antithesis to diet culture. Sarah works with women to help them improve their relationships with food and to build up their self-confidence and will be sharing her insight and advice on these important topics at the event.
Already secured to speak at the second InfluenceHer event is local children’s author, Ebtisam Al Beitiand future topics of focus include achieving your dreams and women in STEM and IT.
