Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has climbed to the 41st spot in the newly published QS Arab Region University Rankings 2020. This ranking also confirms CUD’s No. 8 position in the UAE.

First published in 2014, the QS Arab Region University Rankings takes into consideration 10 parameters: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, international research network, web impact, proportion of staff with Ph.D., citations per paper, papers per faculty, proportion of international faculty and proportion of International students.

Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, Chancellor of CUD, commented: “The latest QS ranking of Canadian University Dubai reflects the university’s rising stature as an institution renowned for academic excellence, a university where students can gain a world-class education in the heart of a world-renowned city, through a wide range of programs across disciplines in Architecture & Interior Design, Communication, Arts & Sciences, Engineering, Management, Health Sciences and Creative Industries.”

Dr. Karim Chelli, President of CUD, said: “We are honoured and proud to get a higher ranking in the prestigious QS Arab Region University Rankings 2020, a testimony to our hard work and commitment to delivering quality education and research. We believe it is the fruit of our relentless pursuit of excellence in the field of higher education, in line with our three-pronged strategy of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, with a strong focus on the evolving job market.’’

The University’s improved ranking is the result of its adherence to the stringent regulations of the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE), which has laid the foundation for ensuring that the colleges and universities in the UAE operate along international levels of quality.

Among its recent accomplishments, CUD has been awarded of the prestigious certificate of accreditation from the International Advertising Association (IAA), the Forbes Middle East Higher Education Award for International Collaboration of the Year and the launch of the Bachelor of Arts in Creative Industries (BACI) in partnership with the world-renowned Faculty of Communication and Design (FCAD) of Ryerson University, Canada.
